SERVICES

Gill brings her innate warmth, empathy and unconditional positive regard for her clients to the counselling room. Gill provides a professional, kind and compassionate service to her clients and is often described as easy to talk to. Gill works with clients with a broad range of issues and challenges. For example, supporting separated parents in conflict, children from separated families, issues of grief and loss, mental health issues and school related issues such as bullying and friendship issues (other challenges worked with are listed below). She draws on her knowledge of families, trauma, attachment and strengths based counselling to empower clients to access their inner resources and to explore solutions to their problems. She believes that a counselling environment where the emotional and physical safety of the client is paramount, is key in supporting the client to examine their challenges. Gill fosters this safety by developing positive, trusting and transparent relationships with clients and a collaborative approach to their well-being goals. Gill has a very practical approach to counselling, exploring strategies with clients and psychoeducational support.

Gill is committed to accessing regular professional development so that she can offer her clients the best of what is available. She uses a range of modalities in her work including, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness and Inner Child Work. Gill believes that counselling offers clients an opportunity to be heard and really understood and is the start of an amazing journey of self discovery which she looks forward to taking with you.
